Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav today visited the residence of martyr ASI Joga Singh of Batala Police to pay my respects and extend my deepest condolences to his bereaved family. Singh was tragically shot dead in broad daylight while on his way to duty, a heinous act that has shaken the police fraternity and the people of Punjab. “He made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty, exemplifying the highest traditions of Punjab Police through his courage, dedication and selfless service. His sacrifice will always be remembered with pride and honour,” said DGP. Yadav assured the family that Punjab Police stands firmly beside them in this difficult time and will extend every possible support. Those responsible for this barbaric crime will be brought to justice, and the memory of ASI Joga Singh’s valour will continue to inspire generations of police personnel.
