Patiala, May 9
Jatinder Garg, ASE, PSPCL Patiala, was elected President of the PSEB Engineers’ Association in the executive meeting held today at Patiala. He was earlier serving as Senior Vice President of the Association and will discharge his duties until the present term of the executive expires.
Recently, Garg was transferred out of Patiala due to political pressure and his association-related activities—a move widely condemned by engineers. He is also active in the Joint Action Committee of Power Sector Engineers, Employees, and Pensioners.
The Executive Committee expressed confidence that under his leadership, the Association will continue to work with greater unity and determination for the welfare of engineers and the safeguarding of Punjab’s power sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Garg said, “The state power sector is going through a very challenging time. As stakeholders, it is our primary duty to defend the sector from nefarious elements. Unity and solidarity amongst engineers give strength to the Association to fight for the right cause.”
