One day AI Capacity Building Workshop held

As an initiative of MoMSME under PM Vishwakarma Scheme, the Department of Industries, UT Chandigarh, conducted a one day AI Capacity Building Workshop on April 15 for PMV beneficiaries at ITI, Sector 28, Chandigarh. The programme aimed at promoting technology adoption and digital market access among traditional craftsmen.

A total of 36 PM Vishwakarma artisans participated in the workshop and were introduced to practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for enhancing productivity, digital marketing, and business decision-making. The artisans expressed keen interest in adopting new digital tools to enhance their livelihoods and expand their market reach.

The programme also focused on onboarding PM Vishwakarma artisans onto the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) platform where 25 artisans were successfully on boarded on ONDC. Through this initiative, the Department reaffirms its commitment to empowering artisans through innovation, digital inclusion, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
