Ludhiana, May 23
Bringing laurels to SCD Government College, Gurnoor Kaur Gumber, a student of MA English Semester-I, secured the third position in the Panjab University merit list by obtaining 73.25% marks in the university examinations.
The college also recorded an excellent overall performance in the MA English results. Tanisha secured the second position in the college with 69.5% marks, while Imran bagged the third position by securing 66.5% marks.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Gursharn Jit Singh Sandhu congratulated the students on their remarkable achievement and said that their success reflects the academic dedication of both the students and the faculty members of the institution. He encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence in their future academic pursuits.
Head of the Department of English, Prof. Amita Thaman, also congratulated the students and appreciated their hard work, perseverance, and commitment towards academics. She stated that such achievements inspire other students of the department to perform better and uphold the academic reputation of the college.
Expressing their happiness over their daughter’s achievement, Gurnoor’s parents thanked the college administration and the faculty members for their constant guidance and support. Gurnoor Kaur Gumber, while sharing her future aspirations, said that she wishes to qualify the UGC-NET examination and pursue a career in teaching.
