Jammu, June 5
On the occasion of World Environment Day, District Police Jammu organized a plantation drive at the District Police Office (DPO), Jammu, reaffirming its commitment towards environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The plantation drive was led by SSP Jammu Joginder Singh, who, along with DySP Headquarters Jammu, ADO DPO Jammu, and other police personnel, actively participated in planting saplings within the DPO premises. The initiative was undertaken to promote environmental awareness, encourage eco-friendly practices, and contribute towards building a greener and healthier Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Jammu emphasized the importance of environmental protection and highlighted the collective responsibility of every citizen in preserving nature for future generations. He stated that police personnel, being an integral part of society, must lead by example in promoting environmental sustainability and creating awareness among the public.
SSP Jammu further observed that plantation drives not only enhance the beauty of the surroundings but also play a vital role in combating climate change, improving air quality, and maintaining ecological balance. SSP Jammu urged all ranks of the police force and members of the public to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts and adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives. The event concluded with a pledge by all participants to continue contributing towards environmental protection and work collectively for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
