Chandigarh, November 8

In a significant development, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered the suspension of Tarn Taran Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Ravjot Kaur Grewal. The decision comes just days before the crucial Tarn Taran Assembly bye-election, slated for November 11, 2025. Commissioner of Police (CP) Amritsar Gurpreet Singh Bhullar has been given additional charge as SSP Tarn Taran with immediate effect. More details awaited.
