Tewari rallies Mohali voters, champions Congress vision for development

Congress MP and former Union Minister Manish Tewari hit the campaign trail across Mohali today, energising voters in support of party candidates for the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections.

Addressing residents in Ward No. 3 alongside candidate Jaspreet Kaur, Tewari underscored Congress’s commitment to resuming stalled projects and accelerating Mohali’s growth. He reminded the public that during his tenure as MP from Anandpur Sahib, he had channelled substantial development funds to Mohali, and pledged that a Congress‑led civic body would deliver rapid progress.

In Ward No. 44, campaigning for candidate Amandeep Singh Slatch, Tewari praised Slatch as “an honest and hardworking leader who understands the developmental needs of the area.” He urged voters to back Congress candidates to ensure accountable leadership and sustained development.

The campaign saw strong participation from senior leaders including Manjeet Singh Mansa, Raja Kanwarjot Singh, Harpreet Bunty, and Sheikhinder Singh Ladi, reflecting the party’s united front and growing momentum in Mohali.
