Chandigarh, May 26
Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi has taken suo moto notice of the viral video of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring. Giving information in this regard, Jasvir Singh Garhi said that Cabinet Minister Baljit Kaur brought to the notice of the Commission that Warring has used caste-based words against Dalit castes during the election campaign. Regarding which the Commission has sought a report from Senior Superintendent of Police Sri Muktsar Sahib on May 29, 2026 through SP Sri Muktsar Sahib and has also directed the police to get the voice sample of Warring taken and get the report submitted to the Commission for forensic examination.
Meanwhile, reacting to the development, Warring posted on social media handle X: “AAP has stooped to a new low! A fake audio circulated nearly seven years ago as well is now being used through the SC Commission to target and defame me. Even a child can tell that the voice is not mine. Instead of taking action against fake propaganda and those spreading lies, @AAPPunjab is busy misusing institutions for political vendetta. This is nothing but desperate politics. Legal action will be taken against everyone involved in spreading and using this fabricated content. Punjab is watching.”
