New Delhi, April 17
An important meeting of the top leaders of the Punjab Congress was held today in New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by the former Chhattisgarh CM and general secretary in-charge of Punjab Congress Affairs Bhupesh Baghel. The meeting was attended by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President and Ludhiana MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Partap Bajwa, former Chief Minister and Jalandhar MP Charanjit Singh Channi, former Deputy CM and Gurdaspur MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Fatehgarh Sahib MP Dr. Amar Singh, among others. During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the election strategy for the state elections to be held in early 2027. While party leaders have yet to disclose exact details of the meeting, reliable sources said Baghel primarily stressed party unity and confronting the Aam Aadmi Party government’s failures head on.
