Chandigarh MP Tewari dedicates animal ambulance to public service

Chandigarh, April 19

Chandigarh Member of Parliament and former Union Minister Manish Tewari has taken an important step for animal welfare by dedicating an animal ambulance to public service. The ambulance was purchased using a grant of Rs. 15.50 lakh from his MP quota. Through this service, injured, sick and abandoned animals will be able to receive timely medical assistance.

Addressing the gathering, Tewari said that the ambulance will play a crucial role in providing prompt medical care to animals in need, thereby increasing their chances of recovery. “The ambulance is equipped with facilities such as IV drip support, first-aid medicines, and drinking water for animals’, said the MP. He emphasized that working for the welfare of animals is an important human responsibility. He also assured that he will continue his efforts for the welfare of different sections of society in the future.

Local residents also appreciated the MP’s initiative, stating that this ambulance service is a significant addition to his public welfare efforts. They noted that it is more advanced than the existing basic animal ambulance service.

On this occasion, several animal lovers, including Ineka Tewari, were present. Others in attendance included the Chairman of SPCA and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Amit Kumar, Joint Commissioner of the Health Department Balbir Singh, Joint Commissioner of HCL Inderjit Singh, social worker Prem Garg, Dr. Akshar from the Health Department and many other dignitaries.
