BJP Punjab chief flags irregularities in electoral roll revision, seeks EC probe

Demanding immediate action against alleged irregularities during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Punjab, BJP Punjab State President Kewal Singh Dhillon has written to the Election Commission of India and the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, seeking urgent intervention. Dhillon has sought an inquiry into officials allegedly collecting information unrelated to the SIR process, demanding unauthorized documents from voters, and causing unnecessary inconvenience. He also urged the Election Commission to ensure strict adherence to its prescribed guidelines so that the electoral roll revision is conducted in a free, fair, transparent and citizen-friendly manner.
