Chandigarh, June 2
Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary Parminder Brar has made it clear that the BJP will neither support the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) nor the Congress in the formation of the Nangal Municipal Council. The party will maintain an equal distance from both political parties.
Brar said that the BJP believes both Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party have become symbols of corruption, misgovernance, and political opportunism. He stated that the collusion, corruption, and anti-people policies of these two parties are responsible for Nangal’s backwardness in terms of development, leaving residents grappling with numerous civic problems.
Brar further said that the BJP is continuously fighting against the policies of both Congress and AAP in Punjab. The party is committed to defeating both parties in the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections and establishing a government based on good governance, transparency, and public welfare.
Brar emphasized that joining hands with either of these parties to form the Municipal Council would be contrary to the BJP’s ideology, principles, and commitment to public interest. Therefore, the BJP will not be a part of any power-sharing arrangement or political compromise. He added that the BJP will continue its struggle for the rights and concerns of the people of Nangal and will keep raising the voice of the public on issues affecting their welfare and development.
