Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar reached Uttarkashi to review polling arrangements in border districts and assess the progress of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) works. He was received by Uttarakhand’s Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam. During the visit, the CEC undertook an on-site inspection of the polling booth established in Harshil, the frontier village on the India–China border, underscoring the Election Commission’s emphasis on preparedness in sensitive regions.
