Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Rao Narender Singh has demanded an immediate, time-bound SIT probe into the alleged multi-crore donation scam involving Registered Unrecognised Political Parties (RUPPs) in the state. Singh alleged that several organisations receiving crores in donations have little or no visible political presence on the ground. In some cases, offices shown in official records were found locked, while at one Delhi address, a dance studio was reportedly operating instead of a political office.

Singh questioned why the BJP government, which frequently uses agencies like the ED and CBI against opposition leaders, has remained silent on such serious financial irregularities.

“Where is this crores of rupees coming from, who is facilitating it, and where is the money ultimately going? The people deserve answers.”

The Congress president demanded physical verification of all suspected RUPP offices, scrutiny of their registration and activities, and a detailed audit of their donations, bank accounts and expenditure.

He said the matter appears to go beyond any single organisation and may point to a larger financial irregularity under the guise of political donations. “If any wrongdoing is found, strict legal action must follow. The BJP government must explain why no action has been taken so far,” he said.
