Udhampur, September 12
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today convened a review meeting of officers of the line departments to assess the status and progress of the implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion scheme in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore; Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh and other district officers.
During the meeting, the DC also reviewed the project-wise manpower engaged under SASCI, AMRUT 2.0 and other major schemes/projects along with their registration status under NAPS.
The DC directed the concerned departments to expedite the registration of eligible business establishments and industrial units on the NAPS portal and ensure achievement of the prescribed targets by September 20, 2026, through intensive mobilisation, awareness and registration drives.
He stressed the need for concerted efforts and close coordination among all concerned departments to ensure effective implementation of NAPS and maximise apprenticeship opportunities for eligible candidates in the district.
