Dhami reviews 12 major projects worth Rs 6,940 crore

The Chief Minister reviewed 12 major projects worth ₹6,940 crore. Projects with more than 50% progress must be completed by October 15, 2026. Monthly reviews will be held at the Chief Minister’s level and every 10 days at the Chief Secretary’s level. Emphasis was laid on speedy resolution of pending cases related to land transfer, forest clearance, and land acquisition.

On Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a detailed review of various important infrastructure and development projects of the state through the Progress Portal at the Secretariat. The review covered 12 major projects worth ₹6,940 crore from departments including Transport, Energy, Public Works, National Highways, Border Roads Organization, and others. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that everyone’s contribution is essential to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Developed India by 2047.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed officials to accelerate the pace of work by ensuring monthly reviews at the CM level and every 10 days at the Chief Secretary level. He said that responsibility will be fixed for delays and strict action will be taken as per rules. Projects that have achieved 50% progress must be completed by October 15, 2026. He emphasized that the state government’s priority is to complete all development projects within the stipulated timeframe. Departments were instructed to take coordinated and swift action to resolve delays caused by land transfer, forest clearance, land acquisition, compensation payments, or other administrative reasons.

The Chief Minister directed officials to use the Progress Portal as an effective monitoring mechanism, conduct regular reviews of each project, and ensure timely disposal of pending cases. He said that unnecessary delays not only affect development works but also adversely impact public interest and economic activities.

The meeting reviewed progress on projects including Ramnagar ISBT, Ranikhet Bus Terminal, TadiKhet Depot and Workshop, Banbasa and Rudraprayag Power Substations, Char Dham road projects, Askot–Lipulekh road, Mana Pass road project, and National Highway projects in Haridwar and Kashipur.

The Chief Minister instructed departments to set clear timelines for resolving pending matters related to forest land transfer, forest and environmental clearances, land acquisition, and compensation distribution. District Magistrates were also directed to personally monitor pending cases at the district level and ensure their speedy resolution. He said that projects related to Char Dham Yatra, strategically important border roads, power infrastructure, and transport facilities are crucial for the state’s overall development and public convenience. Timely implementation of these projects will boost tourism, trade, investment, and employment opportunities. Officials were directed to assign responsibility for each project, conduct regular monitoring, and prepare special action plans for projects lagging behind to ensure quick results.
