For the wide publicity of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the publicity vehicle was flagged off in New Tehri on Thursday by Tehri Garhwal District Magistrate Nitika Khandelwal. On this occasion, she informed the media about the ongoing activities and preparations under the campaign in the district.
Khandelwal said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is an important medium to spread the spirit of patriotism and national unity to every citizen. She appealed to the residents of the district to actively participate in the campaign and hoist the national flag at their homes to express respect and pride for the nation.
Khandelwal also shared details about the photo exhibition being organized in New Tehri by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Dehradun, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. She said that the exhibition will showcase important aspects of India’s independence, the journey of the national flag, and patriotic sentiments through themes like ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, ‘Partition Horrors’, and ‘Vande Mataram’.
Later, CBC Dehradun’s Program Officer Anil Dutt Sharma briefed the media through a press conference about the integrated communication and outreach program scheduled in New Tehri on August 14–15. He informed that special photo exhibitions will be organized on the themes of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, ‘Vande Mataram’, and ‘Partition Horrors’. The aim of the exhibition is to familiarize the public, youth, and students with the glorious history of the national flag, its journey, and the historical and national significance of ‘Vande Mataram’.
Sharma said that a Tiranga rally will be organized on the morning of August 14. Alongside, various awareness and creative activities will be conducted for students visiting the exhibition so that they can understand the freedom movement, the national flag, and patriotism in an engaging and participatory manner. He added that State Cabinet Minister Mr. Ganesh Joshi will inaugurate the photo exhibition on ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ on August 14.
The Program Officer appealed to the public to visit the photo exhibition in large numbers. He said that through the exhibition, people will get an opportunity to learn and understand the glorious journey of the national flag, the historical legacy of ‘Vande Mataram’, and important episodes related to the Partition. He emphasized that this program, organized on the occasion of Independence Day, will play a vital role in raising awareness among the younger generation about patriotism, national unity, and the glorious history of the country.
