Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon today paid obeisance at Gurdwara Gurusagar Mastuana Sahib in Sangrur during his first visit to his home district after assuming charge as the President of the Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

During the spiritual visit, he paid his respects at the holy place associated with Sant Baba Attar Singh, expressed gratitude to the Almighty, and offered prayers for peace, progress, prosperity and the welfare of all in Punjab. On the occasion, the management of Gurdwara Sahib honoured Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon by presenting him with a Siropa (robe of honour) as a mark of the Guru’s blessings.

Addressing those present, Kewal Singh Dhillon said he was deeply grateful to the party high command for reposing faith in him. He affirmed that he would discharge this responsibility with complete dedication, honesty and commitment. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party government, during its four-and-a-half years in office, had disappointed the people of Punjab on every front and had pushed the state into serious challenges. He added that every section of society was dissatisfied with the policies and performance of the present government.

Dhillon said that the people of Punjab now look towards the Bharatiya Janata Party with hope. He expressed confidence that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP would usher in an era of good governance, public welfare and prosperity in Punjab, inspired by the ideals of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji’s Sarkar-e-Khalsa, and restore the state’s glory as a vibrant and prosperous Punjab. A large number of senior BJP leaders, office-bearers and party workers were also present on the occasion.
