Chandigarh, April 26
The Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee on Sunday released the party’s election manifesto for the upcoming municipal elections at the Pradesh Congress office in Chandigarh. The manifesto was jointly unveiled by Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Mr. Rao Narendra Singh and former Haryana Chief Minister as well as Leader of Opposition Chaudhary Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
On this occasion, Manifesto Committee Chairperson and MLA Geeta Bhukkal, committee members MLA B.B. Batra and Aftab Ahmed, former MLA Jasvir Malor, Sanjeev Bhardwaj, Satish Tejli, Tarun Chugh, Congress mayoral candidate from Panchkula Sudha Bhardwaj, and party candidate from Ambala Kulvinder Kaur were specially present.
The program was conducted by Geeta Bhukkal. Highlighting the key points of the manifesto, she said that this resolution document of Congress is a strong step towards overall urban development, transparent administration, expansion of public amenities, and a corruption-free system. State President Rao Narendra Singh said that in the municipal elections, the Congress party is going before the people with issues of development, accountability, and public welfare. He expressed confidence that the people of the state would wholeheartedly support the policies and pro-people vision of Congress. He said that Congress’s commitment is clear: Congress promises more work and better results, trust in every home, development in every ward and eliminating corruption and bring transparency.
Singh said that this manifesto is not merely a document of promises, but a roadmap reflecting the aspirations of the people and a brighter future for the cities. Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that this manifesto has been prepared keeping in mind the problems, needs, and facilities required by the common people. Under BJP rule, the condition of cities and municipal bodies has gone from bad to worse. People are suffering due to the lack of basic amenities, and corruption has reached its peak. He said that before the fire of one scam is extinguished, another scam comes to light. Congress has always worked in a planned manner by understanding the sentiments of the people. Our resolve is that when Congress candidates win, they will work according to this manifesto, fulfill all promises, and take concrete steps to make cities modern, well-equipped and beautiful.
