Chandigarh, May 29
Former Union Minister and Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari today inaugurated swings installed for children in eight parks across Sectors 31, 32, and 33 under Ward Number 22. The initiative, funded through his MPLADS grant, has transformed long-pending demands of residents into reality.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by AAP councillor Anju Katyal, Chandigarh Congress President H.S. Lucky and several dignitaries, underscoring a united commitment to grassroots development.
Speaking at the event, Tewari said his MP quota funds are being consistently directed toward projects that uplift the city’s infrastructure and enhance public amenities. “Residents had been demanding swings in these parks for years. Today, that demand stands fulfilled. Several other development projects are also underway and will soon be dedicated to the people of Chandigarh,” he assured.
Tewari further emphasized that beyond MPLADS contributions, he is actively engaging with administrative officials to resolve civic issues, ensuring that development is visible and meaningful at the ground level.
Congress President H.S. Lucky echoed this sentiment, stating that the party believes in development-oriented politics. “Progress must not remain limited to claims—it should be visible in everyday life. The ongoing works reflect our vision for Chandigarh,” he said.
Local councillor Anju Katyal expressed gratitude to MP Tewari and the dignitaries present, thanking them for their support and contribution to the ward’s upliftment.
