Chandigarh, May 6

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has mounted a fierce attack on Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, slamming his remarks on Pakistan’s ISI in the aftermath of the twin blasts in Jalandhar and Amritsar. Branding the statement “pro‑Pakistan,” Chadha urged Mann to stop deflecting and instead focus on law and order, tracking culprits, and ensuring a thorough probe.

In a sharp escalation, Chadha called Mann’s comments “extremely serious” and “directly anti‑India,” questioning why the CM appeared to absolve Pakistan’s intelligence agency. “Why is he giving ISI a clean chit? Is he under someone’s influence? Did someone instruct him?” Chadha asked, warning that such remarks from an elected leader were inappropriate and dangerous.

Chadha pressed that Mann must prioritise governance over rhetoric—strengthening policing, identifying those behind the blasts, and driving the investigation to its logical conclusion—rather than making controversial statements that weaken Punjab’s security narrative.
