BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh launched a sharp attack on Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, saying that questioning PM Narendra Modi’s foreign tours is the height of Mann’s hypocrisy. A Chief Minister who himself travels abroad with a minister currently in ED remand for money laundering of over Rs. 100 Crores, and an OSD accused of physically assaulting and harassing a woman Member of Parliament, has absolutely no moral standing to question PM Modi’s service to the nation. Mann must first look at his own record before pointing fingers at the Prime Minister.
Chugh said that PM Modi’s visit to the Netherlands was not tourism — it was a historic mission for India’s future. That visit secured India’s biggest semiconductor deal between the Tata Group and ASML, a landmark agreement that will define India’s technological and industrial future for decades. This is the same vision that gave Punjab its semiconductor plant in Mohali — a facility that will open doors of employment and technological prosperity for Punjab’s youth. Does Bhagwant Mann even understand what energy security and water security mean for India’s national interest?
Chugh stated that every foreign visit by PM Modi brings billions in investment, millions of jobs and global prestige to India. In sharp contrast, Bhagwant Mann’s foreign trips are used to enjoy luxury at Punjab’s taxpayers’ expense, to take accused associates on government-funded foreign tours, and to return completely empty-handed with nothing to show for Punjab. Mann owes a clear answer to the people of Punjab — how much investment did he attract, how many jobs did he bring, and what exactly did Punjab gain from his foreign trips?
Chugh said the AAP government has made a habit of running away from accountability while shielding accused leaders at every step. On one side, PM Modi is working tirelessly to make India a global powerhouse in manufacturing, semiconductors and green energy. On the other, Bhagwant Mann abandons a Punjab drowning in drugs, lawlessness and an empty treasury, only to enjoy lavish foreign junkets alongside tainted ministers and officials. This is AAP’s true face — big promises, zero delivery.
Chugh said PM Modi works for 140 crore Indians — whether at home or abroad, every moment of his is dedicated to the nation. If Bhagwant Mann had spent even half the time working for Punjab that PM Modi spends working for India, the state would not be in such a sorry state today. AAP leaders do not work — they only make excuses, shield accused leaders and throw mud at the Prime Minister in a desperate attempt to hide their own monumental failures.
