New Delhi, November 2
BJP National Office In-Charge and MP Tarun Chugh launched a sharp attack on the INDIA bloc rally held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, stating that Rahul Gandhi, who had claimed a gathering of 10 lakh people, was confronted with an empty venue, vacant chairs and an equally empty agenda. The people of India have once again rejected Congress’s fabricated narrative of vote theft and its politics built on what resembles a poorly scripted film story.
Chugh said that Rahul Gandhi’s politics has now been reduced to threats, anarchy and attacks on constitutional institutions and the judiciary. The people of this country are strongly resisting the attempts to create disorder under his leadership. Rahul Gandhi has increasingly become an object of ridicule in Indian politics. One may dream of becoming Prime Minister, just as in the fantasies of Mungerilal, but Rahul Gandhi must understand that the people of India do not even wish to see him as Prime Minister in a mock Parliament.
Chugh further said that the so-called mock Parliament was neither a serious exercise in parliamentary discourse nor an attempt to address issues of public importance. It was nothing but a brazen and unsuccessful attempt to mock the Parliament of India. Instead of respecting democracy and parliamentary institutions, Congress is attempting to turn them into a stage for political theatrics.
Chugh said that Rahul Gandhi has completed his first century of electoral defeats and has now entered the second. He still has another 100 elections to lose. A leader who uses derogatory language against India’s brave armed forces, echoes the language of the Pakistani military, conspires to malign the country’s constitutional institutions and attempts to weaken India and spread anarchy through foreign-backed toolkits cannot expect the acceptance of the Indian people.
Chugh said that Rahul Gandhi is attempting to hold a mirror up to others while the stains of history remain firmly on his own forehead. The 1984 anti-Sikh massacre, the Emergency imposed by crushing India’s democracy, the escape of the accused in the Bhopal gas tragedy from the country and allegations of scams worth Rs 12 lakh crore are dark chapters associated with Congress’s political legacy. The people of India will neither forget these chapters nor forgive Congress for them.
Chugh asserted that India is a democracy where the people are supreme. Politics based on threats, intimidation, anarchy and disrespect for Parliament cannot be allowed to undermine democratic institutions. Rahul Gandhi must learn to respect the mandate of the people and the democratic institutions of the country.
