Upcoming Municipal Elections: HPCC Manifesto Committee meeting held

Chandigarh, April 18

A significant meeting of the Manifesto Committee of the Haryana Pradesh Congress, in view of the upcoming municipal elections, was held on Friday at the PCC headquarters in Chandigarh. During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the issues being faced by the public across various urban local bodies in the State, along with practical and effective solutions. The Committee members emphasized the need to prepare a people-centric and inclusive manifesto, drawing upon suggestions and experiences gathered from the grassroots level.

Speaking on the occasion, Geeta Bhukkal stated that suggestions for the manifesto have been invited not only from Members of Parliament, MLAs, and District Congress Presidents, but also from the general public, and a large number of responses have already been received. She further informed that a comprehensive and unified manifesto will be prepared for the three Municipal Corporations of Panchkula, Ambala, and Sonipat, along with the Municipal Council of Rewari and the Municipal Committees of Sampla, Dharuhera and Uklana. The elimination of fear and corruption will be a key priority of the manifesto.

Bhukkal expressed confidence that the manifesto being prepared by the committee will meet the expectations of the general public and will present a concrete roadmap for the overall development of urban local bodies. She also informed that the manifesto will be finalized soon and submitted to the Pradesh Congress Committee for public release.
