Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring tore into the Bhagwant Mann‑led AAP regime, branding it a ruthless dictatorship after police rained tear gas shells on peaceful MGNREGA workers in Khanna demanding their pending wages. He said the government has reduced itself to a brute force that thrives only on crushing voices of the poor instead of addressing their rightful claims. In a post on his social media handle X, Warring wrote, “I am deeply hurt after watching this video from Khanna. People were peacefully chanting “Satnam Waheguru” while demanding their pending MGNREGA wages. Instead of listening to them, the @BhagwantMann government responded with tear gas shells. When workers asking for their hard-earned wages are treated like criminals, it raises a serious question about the government’s priorities. A government that claims to stand with farmers and labourers should be hearing their voices—not silencing them with force. Punjab deserves compassion, accountability, and justice—not repression.”
