Rain and hail battered several parts of Uttarakhand on Thursday, while the upper reaches of Pithoragarh district witnessed fresh snowfall, according to officials at the meteorological centre in Dehradun. Mussoorie recorded 52.3 mm of rainfall between 8:30 am and 7:30 pm, accompanied by a hailstorm during the same period. In the Kumaon region, Jainti in Almora district received 31.5 mm of rain, while Satpuli registered 29 mm. In Champawat district, both Pati and Lohaghat areas recorded 21.5 mm of rainfall each.
