The State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sunil Jakhar, said that the findings of the inquiry conducted by the Delhi Legislative Assembly into the video of former Chief Minister Atishi have clearly proved that the video was not tampered with; rather, it was the Punjab government that tampered with the investigation report prepared in this regard.
In this connection, he wrote in a social media message today, “After the forensic examination of the video of AAP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi was conducted by the Delhi Legislative Assembly, the Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly clearly stated that the video had not been tampered with. After these facts came to light, the forensic examination conducted by the Punjab Police automatically came under suspicion, as the Punjab Police had claimed that the video was tampered with. The role played by the Punjab government on this issue, which is linked to our sentiments, in order to protect its leader is extremely condemnable.”
Sunil Jakhar further said that all these facts clearly show how the Punjab government uses the police to protect its leaders and suppress opponents. He added that the Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly has also spoken about getting a further investigation into the entire matter conducted by the CBI. He said that the statement made by the former Chief Minister of Delhi in the Legislative Assembly amounted to playing with Sikh sentiments and was a reflection of the low mindset of the leaders of this party.
