Dehradun, April 26
President of the Gurdwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust Narendra Jeet Singh Bindra met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his residence on Sunday. He apprised the Chief Minister of various arrangements for the upcoming pilgrimage. During the meeting, Bindra invited the Chief Minister to attend the farewell ceremony of the first batch of pilgrims for the Sri Hemkunt Sahib Yatra 2026, scheduled for May 20, 2026.
The Chief Minister assured that the administration is making every possible effort to ensure the convenience and safety of devotees. He said that continuous monitoring of travel arrangements is being carried out so that pilgrims face no difficulties. He expressed confidence that the state government is fully committed to making the Hemkunt Sahib Yatra successful, smooth, and well-organized.
Bindra further informed that the farewell ceremony of the first batch will be held on May 20, 2026, with the traditional leadership of the Panj Pyaras. He added that the portals of Sri Hemkunt Sahib will open on May 23, 2026. Lakhs of devotees will participate in this sacred pilgrimage to have darshan of the holy meditation site of Guru Gobind Singh.
