Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla has strongly condemned the alleged wrongful DWI arrest of Sikh leader Jagbinderbir Singh Sandhu. In a post on X, Aujla wrote, “Strongly condemn the wrongful DWI arrest & racial profiling of Sikh leader Mr Jagbinderbir (Joga) Singh Sandhu by Keller Police in Texas. Such discriminatory treatment is unacceptable & concerning. Urge @DrSJaishankar to take immediate action & demand accountability from Keller Police”. His post further reads, “Key Issues: – Racial Profile: Targeting individuals based on race or appearance is unacceptable – Community Dignity: This incident is a serious blow to the dignity of the entire Sikh community – Safety and Respect: The safety, respect, and rights of the Sikh/Punjabi community worldwide must be protected without compromise Demands: – Immediate Action: @DrSJaishankar to take immediate action and speak with the US Ambassador – Accountability: Demand accountability from Keller Police and raise this matter with the US State Department – Protection: @HarmeetKDhillon Ensure the safety and respect of the Sikh/Punjabi community worldwide.”
