Hoshirapur, February 24
Giving further momentum to the “War Against Drugs” campaign, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria today participated in a massive public awareness rally in Hoshiarpur. The governor was accompanied with Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari. This anti-drug journey, which began from Punjab’s border areas, has now reached the state’s interior districts. Organized under the theme of “Mothers Against Drugs,” the march saw participation from political, administrative, social and religious organizations, along with students, traders, NGOs and ordinary citizens in large numbers. The program commenced from the B.Ed College campus of DAV Senior Secondary School, Hoshiarpur. The Governor delivered a strong message of struggle against drugs. The entire atmosphere resonated with the slogans of “War Against Drugs,” spreading awareness and determination across the gathering.
