Chandigarh, February 24
Ashwani Sharma, Working State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government for announcing the establishment of a Textile Export Facilitation Center in Ludhiana. He stated, “Due to Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership and commitment to industry, Punjab has received this significant gift, which will strengthen the state’s economy.”
Sharma said that this initiative of the Central Government will prove to be a major opportunity for Punjab’s industries. It will further strengthen the state’s position on the global textile map and give a new dimension to Ludhiana’s industrial identity.
Sharma further added that through the proposed center, local wool, woollen, and knitted product manufacturers will gain access to better testing facilities, simplified export procedures, and easier access to international markets. This will enhance product quality and improve competitiveness.
In conclusion, Sharma said that this important step will significantly increase Punjab’s exports, strengthen the state’s revenue, and generate large-scale employment opportunities for youth. It will also provide new momentum to the MSME sector and further reinforce Ludhiana’s industrial prominence.
