Warring thanks Himachal CM for reversing entry tax hike on vehicles

Chandigarh, March 31
Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today thanked the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for reversing the decision to hike the entry tax on vehicles entering the state. Warring spoke on the phone with Sukhu to convey his gratitude.

“I express my profound gratitude to the Hon Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Sukhvider Sukhu Ji for conceding to our request to revert the entry tax for outside vehicles, including those from Punjab, to the previous rate”, he posted on ‘X’.

In other major relief to the residents of the border areas of the two states, those living within the five km radius of the state border will get free entry to the state, Warring said, adding that the HP CM told him that these passes can be issued by the respective SDMs/Tehsildars in the two states for all those living within the five km belt.
