Chandigarh Traffic Police organises workshop on obstructive sleep apnea

Chandigarh, April 24

Chandigarh Traffic Police organized a workshop on “Silent Burden of Obstructive Sleep Apnea” at Traffic Lines, Sector 29, U.T. Chandigarh today. The session was conducted in coordination with Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Professor and Incharge Sleep Lab, Department of ENT, PGIMER, Chandigarh, and President, Indian Association of Surgeons for Sleep Apnea (ASSA). A total of 93 drivers and traffic personnel attended. Dr. Bansal highlighted causes, health risks, and preventive measures related to sleep apnea, and shared PGIMER helpline and OPD details for further consultation. The initiative aims to raise awareness among drivers and traffic personnel, contributing to improved road safety and public health.
