Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday laid the foundation stone of a 150‑meter span RCC bridge over the Sisona river, to be built at a cost of about ₹11.41 crore, connecting Sitarganj’s Shaktifarm with the SIDCUL area. The Chief Minister said this crucial bridge will directly benefit nearly 50,000 people and reduce the distance to SIDCUL Sitarganj and the Sisona block office by about 9 kilometers. He added that the bridge will ensure smoother connectivity while accelerating economic and social development in the region.

Dhami stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Uttarakhand is achieving new milestones of growth and prosperity. The state government is continuously strengthening infrastructure such as roads, education, health, and drinking water facilities from cities to remote hill areas. He highlighted several ambitious projects underway for the development of Udham Singh Nagar district and the Shaktifarm–Sitarganj region.

Dhami announced that a modern dairy processing unit for milk powder, ice cream, and cheese is being set up in Shaktifarm under the PPP model. Additionally, construction of an Aqua Park at Prahlad Palsia, costing about ₹54 crore, is progressing rapidly with nearly 75% work completed. To improve healthcare, the PHC has been upgraded into a 30‑bed CHC. Other works include the Sitarganj–Tanakpur four‑lane road, modern drainage systems, various motor roads, and multi‑storey parking facilities.

The Chief Minister further said that a satellite center of AIIMS is being built on 100 acres in Kichha at a cost of about ₹351 crore, while work is also underway to develop an international‑level airport at Pantnagar. Projects such as bypasses in Gadarpur and Khatima, new bus terminals in Khatima and Kichha, sports stadiums, cycling and athletics tracks, and industrial ventures are giving the region a new identity.

Dhami emphasized that the government has revived the Jamrani Dam multipurpose project to meet drinking water and irrigation needs of the Terai region. Farmers’ interests have been safeguarded with a ₹30 per quintal increase in sugarcane support price. Dhami asserted that every development project initiated by the state government is completed within a fixed timeframe and dedicated to the people.

He also underlined the government’s commitment to cultural values, social harmony, and transparent administration. With the implementation of a strict anti‑cheating law, recruitment processes have been made transparent, resulting in over 32,000 youth securing government jobs in the past four and a half years.
