Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann must resign forthwith as he had lost all the moral authority to continue after trying to defy the authority of the Akal Takht.

Reacting to the registration of an FIR by the Haryana Police in Gurugram regarding the preparation and procurement of a “favourable” forensic report into Mann’s controversial video, Warring said that this was extremely sad and shameful that the government had stooped so low to “buy” a fabricated report to prove Akal Takht wrong. This has never happened in the history of Sikhism, he pointed out, while adding that the people of Punjab will never forgive the AAP and its leaders for resorting to such shameful acts to save their chair.

The PCC president said, Mann has not only tried to defy the Akal Takht, but also tried to manage fabricated reports to prove it wrong. This amounts to similar sacrilege, as what happened in Bargari eleven years ago. People of Punjab did not forgive those responsible for Bargari and they will not forgive you either, he told the Chief Minister and the Aam Aadmi Party.
