Chandigarh, February 9
The Congress party appears fully serious and proactive regarding the upcoming Municipal Corporation and civic body elections. Detailed review meetings were organized in Panchkula, Ambala and Sonipat to deliberate on election preparations, strategy and the selection of candidates. The meetings were chaired by Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Rao Narendra Singh.
The meetings were attended by Congress Co-Incharge Jitendra Baghel, Co-Incharge Prafull Gudhe, MLA Chander Mohan, former CPS Jaivir Balmiki along with district presidents of all three districts and senior organizational office-bearers. During the deliberations, in-depth discussions were held on election strategy for the civic polls, strengthening of the organization, selection of potential candidates, and measures to ensure victory in the Municipal Corporation elections.
Addressing the meetings, Pradesh Congress President Rao Narendra Singh said that the Congress party will contest these civic elections with full strength, unity and determination, and will emerge victorious. He clarified that the selection of candidates will be based on their merit, public connect, commitment to the organization, and ability to win.
Singh informed that applications have already been received from aspirants interested in contesting the elections, and all applications are being subjected to thorough and impartial evaluation. He stated that by fielding the right and strong candidates, the Congress will ensure victory in the Municipal Corporation elections.
The Pradesh Congress President reiterated that the candidate selection process will be completely transparent, fair, and rooted in the principles of the organization, so that representatives who truly live up to the trust of the people are chosen. He further said that the public has become deeply distressed by the oppressive policies of the BJP, and the political atmosphere is clearly in favor of the Congress. Victory in all three civic body elections, he asserted, will be a triumph of the Congress party’s constructive and progressive ideology.
