New Delhi, February 24
A grand ceremony was held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Labour and Employment, Government of India, to commemorate the 75th Foundation Day of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). The “Special Services Fortnight-2026” was also launched at ESIC. Member of Parliament N.K. Premchand and Vandana Gurnani, Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, were the special guests at the ESIC Foundation Day celebrations. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the five lamps by the Chief Guest and distinguished guests. On behalf of ESIC, Director General of the Corporation, Ashok Kumar Singh, welcomed all the distinguished guests.
The Minister of Labour and Employment extended his heartfelt greetings to everyone on ESIC’s 75th Foundation Day and honored employers. Offices and hospitals within the Corporation that performed outstandingly were also honored. A commemorative coin was also released to mark the 75th foundation day of ESIC Day. The ESIC at 75 Coffee Table Book was also released.
Further, the ceremony witnessed the signing of an MoU between the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana (PMJAY) and ESIC, and the launch of the Swasthya Rath (a mobile healthcare delivery model). Annual health check-up camps were also inaugurated.
Following this ceremony, Dr. Mandaviya, extended his heartfelt greetings to everyone on the 75th ESIC Day, stating that ESI is a comprehensive scheme and is making an unforgettable contribution to the medical field. In addition, an MoU was signed between ESIC and NABL. Subsequently, details of the stakeholders of the ESIC scheme were also released. At the end of the ceremony, Ratnesh Kumar Gautam, Insurance Commissioner, thanked the Honorable Minister of Labor and Employment, other distinguished guests, and all the ESIC officials present.
