Portals of Lord Shri Badrinath opened with Vedic chants

The portals of Lord Shri Badrinath were ceremoniously opened for the summer season at 6:15 AM on Thursday amidst Vedic recitations and rituals, allowing devotees to have darshan. As the doors opened, the entire Badrinath Dham was immersed in devotion and reverence. On this sacred occasion, nearly 15,000 devotees from India and abroad witnessed the divine presence of Lord Badri Vishal and the eternal flame, earning spiritual merit.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed the first Mahabhishek ritual in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praying for the prosperity and well-being of the nation and the state. He also offered prayers at Lakshmi Temple, Ganesh Temple, and the seat of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, along with other shrines in the temple complex.

Welcoming the pilgrims warmly, the Chief Minister also reviewed the travel arrangements and assured that the state government has made extensive preparations to ensure the Char Dham Yatra is safe, smooth, and well-organized. He emphasized that facilities, security, and overall arrangements have been strengthened to provide devotees with a better experience. He further appealed to all pilgrims from India and abroad to contribute to a green and clean Char Dham Yatra, spreading the message of environmental conservation.

With the commencement of the Char Dham Yatra, Badrinath Dham witnessed a remarkable blend of faith, tradition, and orderly arrangements, offering devotees a divine and memorable experience.

On this historic occasion, women from Mana and Bamni villages presented the traditional Jagar songs and Jhumailo dance in the temple courtyard, filling the atmosphere with colors of folk culture and devotion. Devotees from across the country also offered bhajans and kirtans in reverence.

Dhami inaugurated the community feast (Bhandara) by cutting the ribbon and joined devotees in partaking of the prasad. He interacted with the organizers and appreciated the efforts of the Manav Seva Ishwar Seva Utthan Samiti for conducting the grand feast.

Present on the occasion were District Magistrate Gaurav Kumar, Superintendent of Police Surjit Singh Panwar, BKTC CEO Vishal Mishra, Vice President Rishi Prasad Sati, Rawal Amarnath Namboodiri, Chief Administrative Officer Girish Chauhan, Temple Officer Rajendra Chauhan, Deputy Rawal Suryarag Namboodiri, Dharma Adhikari Swayambar Semwal, Vedic scholar Ravindra Bhatt, Acharya Vani Vilas Dimri, along with many dignitaries and a large number of devotees.
