Rajya Sabha MP Rajinder Gupta calls upon Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

Several important issues pertaining to Punjab roads discussed

Chandigarh, December 3

Rajinder Gupta, Member Parliament, Rajya Sabha from Punjab met Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways in New Delhi today. Many issues related to Punjab were discussed at length and breadth. Gadkari explained that Delhi Katra Expressway is already connected with Khanauri in Punjab State. Gupta highlighted that there is delay in connecting Bhawanigarh and Malerkotla exit and entry points, despite the fact that work is near completion to connect it with Sangrur and Malerkotla Districts in Punjab. Gadkari  told that he will inspect the site along with Gupta to ensure that Malerkotla is connected and functional by end of March, 2026 and remaining work will be completed in the next three months. This road network will give relief to lakhs of commuters by reducing travel time and cost substantially.
