Chandigarh, December 3

In a blistering assault on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini accused her government of pursuing “appeasement politics” at the cost of public welfare. Speaking to media persons at an event held at Haryana Niwas here today, Saini charged that ordinary citizens, particularly women, continue to suffer harassment and exploitation under Mamata’s rule.

The statement carries weight, given Saini’s reputation as a leader primarily focused on governance rather than confrontation. Yet, visibly enraged, the Haryana CM tore into Mamata Banerjee, declaring that instead of upholding her constitutional responsibilities, she has chosen the path of “discriminatory politics.”

Saini lashed out at Mamata Banerjee, declaring that despite West Bengal being led by a woman Chief Minister, the plight of women in the state is worsening with each passing day. He further alleged that the Hindu community is being deliberately targeted, accusing Mamata of abandoning constitutional duty in favor of “discriminatory politics of vendetta.” Saini asserted that while the people of West Bengal entrusted Mamata Banerjee with a constitutional mandate, she has betrayed that trust by indulging in discrimination and pursuing vote‑bank politics. He further charged that the state’s social fabric has been eroded by the undue accommodation of outsiders, a distortion that explains the growing resistance to initiatives like SIR.

Saini thundered that Mamata Banerjee, instead of serving the people at large, has reduced her role as Chief Minister to pandering exclusively to a particular section of society. He added that, in contrast, all the schemes introduced by the Central Government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi are designed with the overall welfare of 140 crore Indians.

When asked about the Punjab Government’s failure to deliver promised benefits to women, Saini launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party, branding it a “noise‑making government” with nothing substantial to show. He asserted that the Congress party fares no better, dismissing both as hollow outfits that thrive on rhetoric while neglecting real governance.

Saini asserted that only the government under Modi is truly committed to the welfare of the people. In contrast, he dismissed Congress and the so‑called INDI alliance as mere noisemakers, thriving on rhetoric but failing to deliver on promises.
