Samrala, January 9

On the sidelines of the ‘MGNREGA Bachao Sangram’ rally, former District Congress Committee Ludhiana (Urban) President and senior Congress leader Pawan Dewan held a significant one-on-one interaction with Bhupesh Baghel, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and the party’s general secretary in charge of Punjab.

During the brief interaction, Dewan appreciated that under the able leadership of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, more and more people are getting connected with the Congress, further strengthening the party’s grassroots presence. He presented a detailed overview of the political landscape in Punjab, with special emphasis on Ludhiana district.

Dewan asserted that a strong wave of Congress is sweeping across the state, as people have grown weary of the anti-people policies pursued by the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government.

Baghel, listening with keen attention, encouraged Dewan to intensify grassroots efforts and ensure that citizens are made fully aware of the pro-people initiatives of the Congress party and the complete governance failures of the AAP government.

Later, speaking to select media representatives, Dewan described the interaction as “a very fruitful and inspiring dialogue”. He expressed confidence that the countdown for the AAP government has already begun, and it is only a matter of time before the Congress reclaims power in Punjab.
