Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party President Kewal Singh Dhillon sharply criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over his visit to Bengaluru, stating that while Punjab is battling the threat of floods, an economic crisis, farmers’ hardships, and growing public anger, the Chief Minister has left the state’s command and gone to Bengaluru for Vipassana. He alleged that leaving Punjab to fend for itself during such a critical time exposes the government’s misplaced priorities.

Dhillon said that flood-like conditions have emerged in several parts of the state, with canals and distributaries breaching at multiple locations. Farmers are not receiving adequate electricity for paddy cultivation, the state is being pushed deeper into debt, government employees are staging protests, and women have been subjected to a massive betrayal. He said the Chief Minister is avoiding accountability on all these pressing issues.

Dhillon further stated that Bhagwant Mann is working at the behest of Delhi rather than taking independent decisions. He alleged that Punjab’s interests are being continuously ignored.

Dhillon said that the people of Punjab will no longer be swayed by the promises and political theatrics of Arvind Kejriwal. He claimed that in the coming months, people will demand full accountability from this government and will respond decisively in the elections.

Taking a jibe at the Chief Minister’s Bengaluru visit, Dhillon said the present government has very little time left in office, and the people will soon decide to send it on a “permanent vacation,” after which Bhagwant Mann will have ample time to enjoy holidays.
